Scotland follows England quarantine policy

The Scottish government has announced it will follow England in easing restrictions on double-vaccinated travellers and their under-18 children from 19th July. This relaxation applies to 'amber' arrivals, which is currently returning travellers from Lanzarote.

This applies to NHS vaccinations only at present and with the second dose being 14 days prior to the arrival.

Pre-departure testing remains in place, except for children aged 10 and under, to be taken in the three days before your return flight. A quick antigen test is sufficient.

A Day 2 PCR test (to be taken on or before day 2 of your arrival back in the UK, your arrival day is considered day 0) will still need to be taken by all arrivals, except children under 4.

This all means that you can travel to Lanzarote and back without having to quarantine. You can search private accommodation across the island and enquire on our website: click here

Northern Ireland will adopt the same measures a week later, from 26th July. Wales is expected to make statements soon.

The next traffic light review into the green-amber-red country status is expected to be on Thursday 15th July.
