Lanzarote’s newest resort, Playa Blanca, is the fastest growing tourist destination on the island. At almost 7KM in length, the town boasts a lovely seafront stretching right across the resort. And at the backdrop of it all are great views of Montaña Roja.
You’ll find the town centre retains much of its original charm of the small fishing village it once was, with the seafront across the town centre even retaining some of the original restaurants.
Marina Rubicon boasts superb upmarket restaurants and shops, as well as a popular market every Wednesday and Saturday.
A must visit is the famous Papagayo Beaches, where white sand and crystal clear waters make the coves among the best beaches in Europe.
Montaña Roja, the famous red mountain, has stunning private accommodation surrounding it. Playa Blanca has different areas with Las Colorados towards Papagayo, the vast Montaña Roja area and the Faro Park area near the lighthouse. You’ll find many large family villas in all areas, as well as smaller bungalow and apartment accommodation.
The town’s port connects the island with Corralejo, a town in the north of Fuerteventura.Work is ongoing to extend the port for small cruises to be able to dock in at Playa Blanca.
