A big concern of travellers this summer has been obtaining travel insurance to cover coronavirus-related issues that may arise whilst on holiday. The good news in Lanzarote is that the Canary Islands tourism ministry has extended its AXA insurance deal for travellers. This was signed last summer and has now been renewed.
The policy includes medical expenses, stay extension for quarantine and repatriation. It is a free policy, applied to travellers staying in licensed touristic accommodation.
